footwear art.

Wow! Check these out!
All I want for Christmas is a pair of pumps from designer, Kobi Levi
" In my artistic footwear design the shoe is my canvas. The trigger to create a new piece comes when an idea, a concept and/or an image comes to mind. The combination of the image and footwear creates a new hybrid and the design/concept comes to life. The piece is a wearable sculpture. It is "alive" with/out the foot/body. Most of the inspirations are out of the "shoe-world", and give the footwear an extreme transformation. The result is usually humoristic with a unique point of view about footwear. Another aspect of the creation is the realization. All the pieces are hand-made in my studio. The challenging technical development is the key to bring the design to life in the best way."
Here are a couple of my favorites! Happy Shopping!

come on and run.

Gaga just debuted her latest music video masterpiece for Marry the Night.  This self-directed gem of our favorite song off the album is like a combination of Girl, Interrupted, Black Swan, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Flashdance. It's based on her struggles and ambitions as an aritst.
It's long (almost 14 minutes), but pretty amazing! Check it out.

movie night.

College feat. Electric Youth - A Real Hero by College

We watched Crazy, Stupid, Love and Drive this week. Really liked them both! Drive was a little violent for me, but enjoyed the story and style. CSL was adorable. Funny, witty, and surprisingly surprising! Obvi Ryan Gosling was the highlight of both. Next up, Ides of March...

sexy and i know it.

Bradley Cooper was named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2011. And while, yes, he is smokin hott, we believe there was some sort of mistake. We came across this website that justifies our feelings perfectly.

Holy smokes! You're definitely number one in our book, Ry!

sibling rivalry.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were crowned Vogue's Best Dressed Siblings of 2011 beating out the likes of many well-dressed sisters including Beyonce and Solange Knowles, the Fanning girls, and even the Middleton sisters. While this was a close one, we do believe our favorite twins deserve this highly-esteemed honor with their chic, vintage-inspired, always on the cutting edge of fashion style. Congrats gf's! The cover photo could not be more perfect either!

joepa.

It's a sad time for Penn Staters. Unless you live under a rock, I'm sure you've heard about the horrific scandal taking place in the not so Happy Valley right now. Joe Paterno was fired late last night as Penn State's football coach and released the following statement regarding the devastating news.

"I am disappointed with the Board of Trustees' decision, but I have to accept it.

A tragedy occurred, and we all have to have patience to let the legal process proceed. I appreciate the outpouring of support but want to emphasize that everyone should remain calm and please respect the university, its property and all that we value.

I have been incredibly blessed to spend my entire career working with people I love. I am grateful beyond words to all of the coaches, players and staff who have been a part of this program. And to all of our fans and supporters, my family and I will be forever in your debt."

Earlier in the day he released this statement on his plan to retire at the end of the season, which unfortunately was not honored.

"I am absolutely devastated by the developments in this case. I grieve for the children and their families, and I pray for their comfort and relief.

I have come to work every day for the last 61 years with one clear goal in mind: To serve the best interests of this university and the young men who have been entrusted to my care. I have the same goal today.

That's why I have decided to announce my retirement effective at the end of this season. At this moment the Board of Trustees should not spend a single minute discussing my status. They have far more important matters to address. I want to make this as easy for them as I possibly can.

This is a tragedy. It is one of the great sorrows of my life. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more. My goals now are to keep my commitments to my players and staff and finish the season with dignity and determination. And then I will spend the rest of my life doing everything I can to help this University."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and families involved in this horrible tragedy. We thank Joe for the enormous amount he has done for Penn State's football program as well as the university and community over the past 61 years. It is truly heart breaking to see him go out like this.
